WaterTongue.com contains a language that was found in the San Juan Islands of the Pacific Northwest in 1965 by a father and his two children (click here for story). In the spring of 2010 we received a grant from the Pacific Northwest Historical Society to put together a more formal website for the language. The language is character based - similar to chinese - and reads from top to bottom. Example: The character for the word love looks like Exhibit A. Exhibit B reads I love you.

As more details about the language and its history become available they will be posted to WaterTongue.com. Updates will also be posted to Facebook, Twitter and the email list. If you wish to use Water Tongue for tattoos, weddings, carving or other art forms feel free to email me. Use of the language is free.
